knowing someone means learning something

Dylan was born January 31, 1991 in Bellville and is the middle of 7 children. Dylan is a very gifted artist whose artwork has sold for $1,000 per print at auction. When he is not creating his next art masterpiece Dylan is similar to many other 17 year olds; he like to hang out with his friends, go to movies, out to eat and MySpace. He recently saw and loves the film, Tropic Thunder. He is currently working at a Michael’s Craft store and saving money to hopefully move to Florida with a friend. Dylan is a very liberal young man and likes to change his hair and his ‘look’ on a regular basis. He is, and always has been, very open-minded, accepting, and loving toward people from all walks of life. Dylan is always surrounded by close friends.

Dylan’s Bio (continued)
Dylan’s life changed when his family adopted his younger brother, Jamal, who is HIV positive. Since that time, Dylan has become very educated about HIV and takes pride in educating others. He has been involved with Project Kindle for over six years and is a leader for younger Project Kindle participants. He started out as a camper and recently served as a Junior Counselor! In SPEAK OUT, he shares his story through a powerful, non-scripted, and passionate message. Dylan has managed to take his situation and find the positive, “HIV/AIDS has impacted my life very dramatically. I’ve learned to have more empathy for people and the things that they go through. If not for this virus I don’t’ think I would be the person I am today.”
